An arrest was made amid a pro-Palestine parliamentary campaign launch and protests. Activists filled the streets of Brighton with music , chants, and Palestine flags last weekend. Pro-Palestine protesters rallied at the Brighton Clock Tower before marching through the city centre in a crowd of hundreds, holding flags aloft.
Activist group Brighton and Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign was among protesters holding signs reading “free Palestine” and “ceasefire now”. The crowd also stopped outside Barclays bank in North Street chanting “Barclays bank, shame on you”. The bank is still covered in red paint following an act of vandalism aimed at protesting against the bank's investments in arms manufacturers.
