A historic Edwardian home that offers "a slice of Sussex history" is up for sale. The eight-bedroom property in Jevington Road, Friston, near Eastbourne, is on the market for £2.3 million.

It was built in 1901 by the Maitlands, a well-regarded gentleman farming family who own Friston Place and has been a home to various interesting residents including RAF officers from RAF Friston during WW2 and a secret agent.
