This cutting-edge scanning device generates higher-quality images more efficiently than traditional CT scanners. By utilizing this technology, healthcare providers can diagnose and treat patients with greater precision, leading to clearer answers for patients.
Additionally, the shorter scan times reduce patient exposure to radiation. “We are very grateful for our new cardiac imaging equipment as it will allow us to diagnose patients with heart disease quicker, safer, and more accurately than we have been able to do so previously,” Dr. Walter Parham, cardiologist and regional medical director of Cardiovascular Services for SSM Health in Southern Illinois, said.
