Soap stars were out in force in Bolton over the weekend as they shared their love of reading with families. Visitors to Open Air Bounce found themselves doing double takes after spotting famous faces at the Over Hulton attraction. Albert's Bookshelf held its Summer Festival for 2024 on Sunday at the family attraction.

The festival brought together the intrigue of reading and the sheer fun of the inflatable park, with foam parties, children's stories being read by celebrities and more. Albert's Bookshelf was founded by Emmerdale actor Danny Miller , who plays Aaron Dingle, and Capital Radio DJ Nigel 'Wingman' Clucas. Danny reads out some of the nation's favourite children's books, with it being recorded and put out every Friday on streaming platforms.

On the weekend they took the format from the airwaves and brought it to life, with live readings from Danny amidst the inflatables of Open Air Bounce.
