Search for MP Anar's body parts goes on in Kolkata with Jihad West Bengal state police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has launched an operation to find out the severed body parts of Jhenidah-4 constiutuency's MP Anwarul Azim Anar. The CID team conducted the search operation along with arrested Jihad Howlader in Bagjola canal at village Krishnamati of Bhangar in South 24 Pargana district near Kolkata on Friday. According to the confession of the arrested Jihad, the severed body parts of the Bangladesh lawmaker were dropped at village Krishnamati in Bhangar under Polerhat Police Station, the CID sources said.

Jihad Howlader, an inhabitant of Khulna district of Bangladesh, was also brought at Bhangar to identify the spots where he had dumped parts of the dead body of MP Anar. CID sources said Jihad Howlader confessed to killing Anwarul Azim MP along with four other Bangladeshi nationals.
The accused dismembered the MP's body in a bid to hide his identity, the CID said. 'Butcher' Jihad was brought to Kolkata from Mumbai two months ago at the behest of Md Akhtaruzzaman Shahin, a US citizen of Bangladeshi origin and the alleged mastermind of the MP's murder, the CID said. CID sources said butcher Jihad was staying in Mumbai after entering India illegally.
Under interrogation, Jihad confessed that he had involved in the murder of Anwa.
