A historic village pub in Edgworth has gone up for sale. The well-known Rose and Crown in Edgworth has been listed on Zoopla and Rightmove. The pub also includes a restaurant and a bed and breakfast.

A sign outside the pub states that prospective owners can contact Knightsbridge, who are marketing the property . The explanation given for the sale is “offered due to personal reasons.” However, the move comes less than a year after new owners were announced at the country pub .



In September 2023 Jason and Scot Davenport were announced as taking over the the pub and said they had added a jukebox, Sky Spots and a new food and cocktail menu. They also included a dog menu and new chefs and vowed to make the pub a part of the nearby community. But now new owners are being sought for the property.

The brochure for the pub states the bed and breakfast can generate £115 each night in additional revenue. It also states there is annual turnover in excess of £192,500 with earnings before interest, rate depreciation and amortisation of just over £50,000. The goodwill - name it trades uner - and assets of the building are to be included within the sale.
