Fika, 409 Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast. Fried chicken with trout roe at Fika The restaurant nomansland between Ballyhackamore and Stormont was the chosen location for an Oliver’s. Oliver’s cafes and restaurants are a small, classy local chain.

This one had the largest awning in Belfast during Covid lockdowns. It survives, sandwiched between a Sofaland and Ford dealership. Fika is the latest pioneer to reach nomansland and has taken up position in Oliver’s annexe formerly known as the Broker.



Some still mistake it for an overflow room to Oliver’s, but it’s not. What started as a pop-up seems now to be more permanent..
