FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Malachi Rios, who recently graduated from Reedley High School while battling stage four cancer, now has "a few weeks" to live, according to his family. Earlier this year, Malachi went to Cancun, Mexico to a center that offers a holistic approach to treatment.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The video above is from a previous broadcast and will be updated. Family members say the treatment did not work and that his cancer has spread over 400%. They added that tumors have started to fill his lungs.



Now, Malachi is in the emergency room, where family members say doctors are managing his pain and that his condition is worsening "quite rapidly." He went into remission by May of 2023 and was able to join his team on the football field for his senior year at Reedley High School.

His cancer returned and after heavy chemotherapy, doctors deemed him incurable by chemo and radiation. The family is asking the community to keep them in their prayers during this difficult time..
