RAVE to the lone bicyclist removing cardboard, Styrofoam, plastic and other trash from the I-90 Trail the other weekend. He had no uniform or trappings of authority and no equipment except gloves, a trash grabber tool and several very large garbage bags. He left the tail as clean as I’ve ever seen it! On behalf of all the bicyclists and walkers who use the trail, we owe you a debt of thanks and gratitude! RANT to anyone who believes that Climate Pledge Arena should be home to a new NBA team without a massive upgrade in public transportation.
The streets bounding Seattle Center — in particular, Mercer and its tributaries — are already at gridlock most afternoons with folks trying to get onto I-5. Adding 41 NBA home games to this existing congestion would make life in Uptown and Belltown unbearable..
