RANT to the motorist who yelled at me in exasperation and rage for making her slow down and stop as I crossed a clearly marked crosswalk on my bicycle in Eastlake. Bicyclists have the same rights as pedestrians in a crosswalk. You had plenty of time to yield safely, you just didn’t want to.
RAVE to the parking attendants at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center the other day when the elevators in Building 2 went down, causing at least a 2-hour delay in getting cars back. They offered patients the option of waiting, or a free Lyft ride home and back when their car was ready. This was particularly helpful after a procedure when the last thing you wanted to do was wait in the building for possibly 2 hours.
This is just another example of care and compassion from everyone at Fred Hutch!.
