A care home in the Swindon area rallied to help a young girl going through a difficult time. Staff at The Orchards Residential Home in Wroughton wanted to help cheer up little Anna as she had been struggling with a debilitating health condition. The care home did not wish to disclose details about the youngster’s medical details and instead focused on the unwavering support it gave to Anna and her family.
Through various fundraising activities and generous donations, the community has helped the family raise £1,000 towards a well-deserved holiday. Manager Julie Beale said: “We wanted to do something special for a very deserving little girl and her parents. "Seeing the smiles on their faces and knowing that we played a part in creating a cherished memory is incredibly rewarding.
“This collective effort has been a shining example of how community spirit can make a meaningful difference. This is what community is all about. “We want to wish the family a joyous and restful holiday.
Enjoy every moment.” Anna’s parents Rory and Natasha said: “Thank you so much to everyone at The Orchards for all your hard work and to everyone who donated. “We are very touched by your kindness as Anna had a wonderful time.
