JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty Images A large fire broke out at an office building owned by weight loss drugmaker Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) in Copenhagen on Wednesday, the second such incident the Danish weight loss drugmaker has faced in less than a week. “It’s a massive fire. We have about 100 firefighters on site,” T he Guardian reported, quoting Martin Smith, the Copenhagen fire service chief of operations.

The fire that started outside subsequently spread to an office building belonging to the company in Bagsvaerd, where Novo’s ( NVO ) global headquarters are located in the northern part of greater Copenhagen. Smith said the building had been evacuated. Novo ( NVO ) confirmed the incident and said there were no injuries .



The company added that it was expected to take another two hours for the fire crew to extinguish the fire. Last week, a fire broke out at a Novo ( NVO ) construction site in the Danish city of Kalundborg, sending the company’s shares lower in European trading.
