Over the months the Lambeg Phantom Crocheter, who likes to remain anonymous, has made some fantastic toppers, marking Easter, Mother’s Day, Back to School, and Star Wars Day, amongst many others which sit on the postbox outside Grahame’s Pharmacy on the Moss Road. This time she made a tribute to the Lisburn based charity Air Ambulance NI and Grahame’s Pharmacy has kindly agreed to have a collection box inside so that anyone who appreciates the work of the Lambeg Phantom Crocheter and would like to support the charity, can make a donation. "I had the idea for the Air Ambulance topper as it passes over my house on its way back to base at least three or four times a day,” explained the Lambeg Phantom Crocheter. "It just got me thinking about all the people it was helping. I did a bit of research and was shocked at how much it costs just to fuel it for one trip.
"I contacted them and told them I was thinking of doing a topper to raise awareness and hopefully some donations. "They were very grateful and organised to leave a box in Grahame’s pharmacy, who were also supportive as always.” Advertisement Advertisement The charity is delighted to have been chosen as the recipient of the creative fundraiser.
Area Fundraising Manager Grace Williams said: “We are so grateful to the Lambeg Phantom Crocheter and everyo.
