A court heard the final words spoken by a teenager after he was fatally stabbed at a summer party. Charlie Cosser, 17, died in hospital after being stabbed several times at the end-of-term party on the grounds of a country mansion in rural Sussex. Another teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denies murdering him.
Following a fight on the dance floor at the party, Wiktor Mlynarski said he found his friend Charlie sitting on a pallet. Mr Mlynarski, who was 22 at the time of the party at Balmohano Farmhouse in Warnham, said the fight started after a young girl complained about being touched by another party guest. The defendant threw the first punch after they asked him and his friend to leave for the second time, he said.
At least four people were involved in the brawl which followed. After he was dragged away, Mr Mlynarski said he heard an announcement from the DJ saying his friend was in trouble. "Someone was shouting my name, saying 'Victor, Victor your mate is f****d'.
