A brewery has launched a £1.75 pint to celebrate 175 years of being in business . Beer lovers can celebrate the anniversary of Joseph Holt by enjoying their award-winning ales at less than half the price.
From Sunday, June 23 - the day in 1849 when founder Joseph Holt first opened for business – customers will be able to buy two of the breweries’ most popular beers for less than £2. The price has been chosen to reflect the special birthday for Joseph Holt, an independent business which has been in the same family for six generations. Included in the offer is the company’s trademark bitter which has been on sale ever since Joseph Holt began trading.
It is still brewed using the same strain of yeast as it did in 1849, re-growing it to remain environmentally responsible as well as consistency in taste. Another ale, Crystal lager, will also be available for £1.75.
The offer runs until July 7. The cut price ale will be available at a one specific Joseph Holt pub each day throughout this limited period – with the brewery identifying the location of the promotion every morning on social media on Facebook and Instagram.
