Following his retirement from the NFL, Jason Kelce is focusing on his long-term health. During a June 26 interview with , the former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman said he's "almost 20 pounds down right now" and is aiming to shed an additional 20. For the majority of his time in the NFL, Kelce revealed he weighed 295 pounds.

"It's hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you," Kelce said. "But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better.



" Kelce exited the league with his fair share of impediments: a twice-reconstructed right knee, surgeries on his hand and groin and broken toes. But he's "still able to fully enjoy life," which he considers a "blessing." "I'm leaving the game with those scars, but for all intents and purposes, I can play with my kids," Kelce told the outlet.

Even so, he's determined to lose more weight for his children's sake. "Another 20 pounds hopefully will make (me) much more adept at playing with children," he said. After 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce tearfully at a press conference in March.

"I must admit, I am officially overrated. Vastly overrated. It took a lot of hard work and determination getting here," Kelce said during his emotional 45-minute speech.

"I have been the underdog my entire career, and I mean this when I say it, I wish I still was." For Kelce, retirement has left him "more busy than (he's) ever been," as he in June 2024. At 36, the father of three is beginning his se.
