The former cruise singer, who is currently appearing on the new series of Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox with best pal Sue, stepped in for Philip Schofield to host the British Soap Awards last year in a stunning velvet red gown, after previously shedding an impressive four stone. Jane has spoken on how her weight slowly crept up on her over the years due to a hectic work schedule, but has since reshaped her eating habits to drop from a size 12 to 14 to an eight.



She also revealed her go-to foods that help keep her on track, as we reported last year. The 61-year-old said she has been able to keep the weight off by axing snacking on crisps and limiting her intake of "white carbs" such as bread, pasta and processed flour. Jane likes to start her day with a green smoothie every other morning.

She said: "I blend up a mixture of raw greens, flax seeds, chia seeds, spinach, kale, mint and a banana. It really is lovely." Since 2017, Jane has presented her Channel 5 TV travel show Cruising with Jane McDonald, but while she's sailing and having the time of her life doing what she loves best, she admitted she puts weight on easily when she goes .
