3 race, IRONKIDS is 80 per cent full, and over three quarters of the places for Night Run have been snapped up. The weekend gets underway with Night Run on Friday, June 28, bringing a party atmosphere to the town centre. From walking the 5k route to going for gold on the 10k, there is something for people of all ages and abilities and over 1,000 people are expected to take part.
The world’s biggest IRONKIDS returns on Saturday, June 29, with the number of places on offer increased to an all-time high of 6,000. Road closures will be briefer than in past years, but a new bike route will require temporary road closures in the area of Pennington Flash, into Bolton along Atherleigh Way, North Road and Chew Moor Road, and along Chorley New Road between the town centre and Horwich .
