Additionally, the United Nations (UN) on Monday released data that revealed the global childhood vaccination levels have stalled, leaving millions of children un or under-vaccinated than before the pandemic. According to the report, this can be a warning sign for dangerous outbreaks of diseases like measles to spread. The report noted that India is among 10 countries that account for 55 per cent of children who are not vaccinated across the world.
The data indicated that the percentage of vaccinated children in India stood between 90 to 94 per cent in 2023. But why is India still behind Nigeria and Congo?
