Photo by Derek Baldwin / Postmedia Article content An OPP officer in Ottawa made an impaired driving arrest in the parking lot of the service’s Kanata detachment Sunday morning. The driver of a green Jeep pulled into the parking lot of the Ottawa detachment, near Campeau Drive, at 3 a.m.
Sunday. An officer approached the vehicle to understand if the driver needed assistance. The driver showed signs of impairment and was later found to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his bloodstream, according to an OPP news release.
A 47-year-old man now faces charges of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired.
