She said many people struggle to tone up because they fall into classic bad habits. Shannon claims relying solely on motivation is one mistake people make, with many adopting the belief that they'll find the "perfect time" to begin their fitness journey. Unfortunately, delaying the start usually has no beneficial outcome.
Similarly, she warns against wishing for instant results, cautioning that the expectation is unrealistic and unhelpful. Her main advice is to steer clear of extreme methods or so-called "quick fixes" where lasting change is unlikely, and it could harm your results. Additionally, trying to change too much of your lifestyle too soon can be overwhelming, leading to potential failure.
As well as this, she noted fixating on scales isn't always the most accurate way to gauge progress. This is because it isn't solely based on shedding pounds, as it encompasses overall health and well-being. The fitness enthusiast stressed that weighing less isn't always a sign of streng.
