Alexa, four, was first diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia - a rare form of cancer found in the blood and bone marrow - in February 2022. She received weekly chemotherapy treatments at the Broward Health Medical Center Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Alexa was also awarded two medals - one for ending the chemotherapy and one for being a "super survivor". Nearly 30 family members joined the medical team to celebrate this milestone..
