KEARNEY — Dylann Luther was quick to peg herself as “a talker” who gets easily attached to her patients. But the person who nominated Luther had this to add. “Dylann Luther is an outstanding Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) employed in the Med-Surg department at KRMC,” they wrote.
“She is a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate team player whose unwavering commitment to patient care consistently upholds the highest standards of the profession.” Dylann Luther with her two children and significant other, Caleb. Luther is a nurse at Kearney Regional.
Luther’s “instrumental role in the growth of the LPN program at KRMC is widely recognized,” they added, further nothing that she is often regarded as a patients best advocate. “She takes a holistic approach to patient care that ensures all their needs are met,” they said. “Despite juggling multiple commitments, including personal life, academic studies, and work life, she maintains a positive attitude and a pleasant disposition that inspires those around her.
” Though she hails from Grand Island, Luther has called Kearney home for the past five years. She started her health care career journey as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) and has worked in nursing homes, home health, hospice, the ICU (intensive care unit), the med-surg (medical surgical) unit, PCU, rehab and Orthopedics — all as an Aide. Luther also saw three years as a phlebotomist, drawing labs all over the hospital and in the Platte.
