Female teacher killed in Satkhira road crash A female teacher was killed and two of her family members were injured in a road accident at Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira district on Friday evening. The accident took place around 6.30pm on the Jashore-Stakhira highway near Helatola union parishad of the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Helena Parvin, 45, wife of Mijanur Rahman, a resident of Ofapur village under the upazila. According to locals, Helena along with his husband and daughter was going to visit a relative's house in the evening riding on a motorbike. On the way, a bus hit their motorbike resulting Helena fell from the bike.
She died on the spot and two others sustained critical injuries. Kalaroa Police Station officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter, adding that an unnatuaral death case was filed and legal actions will be taken in this regard. JA/SA.
