Photo by Ontario Provincial Police / Handout Article content A transport truck driver was airlifted to hospital in serious, but stable condition with burns after his rig collided with a construction-zone “blocker truck” on Highway 416 near Roger Stevens Drive on Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the “blocker truck” was also transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, also in stable condition. Neither’s injuries were life-threatening, the Ottawa Paramedic Service said.



Highway 416 was closed initially both northbound at Roger Stevens Drive and southbound at Bankfield Road. The northbound lanes were expected to reopen in late afternoon, Ontario Provincial Police posted online at 4:30 p.m.
