Dark web group Shiny Hunters has allegedly stolen the personal information of 560 million people who have used Ticketmaster or its parent company Live Nation worldwide. The notorious hacking group is demanding a ransom of $US500,000 ($750,000) on the dark web.

It is not yet known if Australians are caught up in the data breach but there are believed to be more than five million Ticketmaster and Live Nation customers in Australia and New Zealand alone.
