OKLAHOMA CITY — CVS Health launched its first two Workforce Innovation Talent Centers in Oklahoma this week. The WITCs will provide free career skills training for people seeking employment as pharmacy technicians and retail store managers. (Staff Photo by Kathryn McNutt) The company’s workforce programming already exists in more than 1,150 communities across the U.S. Working in collaboration with government agencies, nonprofits, faith-based and career development organizations, the company streamlined access to meaningful employment for more than 1,400 individuals in 2023, according to its website.



The first CVS Health skills training center in Oklahoma is located inside the Workforce Community Hope Center at 7201 NW 10th St., which provides a variety of free services to Oklahomans seeking jobs. It is operating in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and Work Ready Oklahoma.

“This is a big opportunity for us,” said Sandino Thompson with Work Ready Oklahoma. “The families that surround this Hope Center work hard. This is going to provide access and opportunity for these hard-working families.
