A Bolton man who was placed on the sex offenders register continued to view indecent images of children. Steven Worrall of Arthur Street, Little Lever, was given a three year community order for sexual offences in 2019. But the 31-year-old breached this multiple times and admitted he has a “sexual interest” in teens.

Bolton Crown Court heard he was placed on the sex offenders and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order which meant he had to register devices and have them monitored. In May 2021 it emerged he had accessed an application in order to obtain indecent images of children. The court heard he had committed further breaches later.

In April this year police visited his home. Naomi Duckworth, prosecuting, said: “He was arrested by police and asked for his phone. “He was asked by the police whether he had storage space which was hidden.

“He lied to the police and said there was none. “They placed it in airplane Mode and found images. “They also recovered a Nintendo Switch, an Xbox One and Playstation Four.

“He admitted the breach of the sexual harm prevention order for the possession of the Nintendo Switch.” The device breached the terms of the order as it was internet enabled.
