A man kicked a female police officer and said she “should not have been in the way” of his foot. Police were called to an address in Horwich over an alleged incident in February when they came across Winston Fox, who was asked to leave. Bolton Magistrates' Court heard that as police attempted to arrest him he kicked a female officer.
Julie Draper, prosecuting, said: “On February 9, 2024, officers were called to an address with a male refusing to leave. “Officers attended and asked him to leave. “He stated he is not leaving.
“They arrested him and tried to handcuff him. “He has become obstructive. “A police officer stayed he had kicked her.

After the officer states this he says “then don’t stand in the way of my foot". At court, Fox, of Brunswick Avenue, Horwich, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker.
The court heard no further allegation of criminality was made to the police from that date. Martin Pizzey, defending, said: “The plea has been entered in a basis ..
. he did not intentionally cause the kick to the police officer. “Drink had played a part.
“He had not gone out to get drunk. “He did not intend to go out and cause trouble.” Mr Pizzey said Fox, 54, had fallen to the floor and kicked out to stop a ch.
