A feud between two rival businessmen armed with a hammer and a baton flared into violence on a busy Cleethorpes street. One of them rammed his BMW into the car driven by the other man on Isaacs Hill, at 10pm on Sunday, March 10 this year, a court heard. Off-duty officer PC Parsonage was driving behind the BMW and saw the two men swap blows with their weapons.

He grabbed both the weapons off the two men, who continued to fight in the street despite his brave intervention. PC Parsonage was able to go in and pull these two apart.



" Ihsan Sabri Asiroglu, 46, of Cross Street, Cleethorpes, admitted affray and possession of an offensive weapon in public. Shivan Mustafa, 44, of Drew Avenue, Cleethorpes, admitted affray and dangerous driving. Prosecuting, Stephen Welch said there had been a long history of "bad blood" between the two former friends.

He said: "It is well-known they are both entrepreneurs and successful." He said Mustafa rammed his BMW into the other car in the street and then both men began exchanging blows with their respective weapons, one with a hammer and another with a police-style extendable baton. The off-duty officer grabbed both weapons off the men and threw them into a nearby bu.
