The WHO noted that the person had no direct contact with poultry or other animals. However, H5N2 has been reported in poultry in Mexico, Reuters reported.

In late May, a third bird flu case in the U.S. was found, though of the H5N1 strain.



The U.S. vaccine stockpile against bird flu currently consists of traditionally developed vaccines from GSK ( NYSE: GSK ), Sanofi ( NASDAQ: SNY ), and CSL ( OTCQX:CSLLY ).
