High humidity can also lead to increased perspiration and discomfort, potentially causing heat-related illnesses if temperatures are high.

” “Regarding flu and cold prevention, high humidity can affect the spread of these viruses. Flu viruses, for instance, tend to survive longer in dry conditions, so very high humidity might reduce their lifespan. However, crowded indoor environments due to rain can facilitate the spread.
