Photo collected The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has detained another person for his alleged involvement in the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar. The suspect was identified as Jihad Howlader Jihad, a resident of Bongaon near the Bangladesh border, according to media reports. Jihad is reportedly a Bangladeshi infiltrator and a butcher by profession, residing illegally in Mumbai, according to the CID.

It is believed that he dismembered Anar's body. According to Indian media report, Jihad Howlader will be produced in a court in Barasat in India on Friday (May 24). Investigators are considering taking him into custody for questioning to gather more information about the murder.



Although it has been confirmed that Anar was murdered, his body has yet to be recovered. Meanwhile, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Additional Commissioner (Detective Branch), Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, expressed hope on Thursday (May 23), that Indian police would soon be able to locate and recover Anar's body.
