When I think of the principles I apply, I am reminded of spirals, of organic chemistry, of life moving and breathing, in an ebb and flow of harmony with a varying degree of discord. I surf tissue, the accurate way to describe me is a tissue whisperer, an architectural sculptor of organic living connective tissue. I feel the layers of structure, a large part in knowing the anatomical structure from anatomy and kinesiology.

Understanding the map is knowing where your body is in space, or should be. And, we are not all made alike, we are different. We bend and fold differently, our walking gate, arm movement, you name it, we are unique.

Each one of us, yes we are human and we generally have a whole human body that has the same muscles, bones, hearts and parts in the same place. Still sizes and shapes of our parts vary in an infinitely special way. So we have The Body’s Way and we have Our Body’s Way.

The Body’s Way is the way a body functions in a homeostasis state, the map of the human body that is laid out before us, usually in a non living static map, a diagram that illustrates how the body is organized. Our Body’s Way will be our observations of the body, any accidents, injuries, what you were born with, what was part of your growth and development, the way we show up uniquely in our kinesiology and anatomy. In NIA we practice developmental stages in which we move through the five stages, embryonic, creeping, crawling, standing and walking.

Some of us were too quick .
