The Royal Stoke Hospital made a banner declaring that the NHS hospital now welcomes 21 different genders and sexualities, with flags for each one, in a move which meant the health service had officially recognised them. The decision sparked criticism from some who hit out at the priorities, given the hospital, part of the Midlands NHS Trust, is one of the worst performing in the country, ranking 102 of 120 in England.
