The A1 is blocked on the Cambridgeshire border after a lorry hit a bridge on Thursday morning (July 11). Traffic is queueing on the southbound carriageway near Eaton Socon. Traffic monitoring site Inrix first reported the incident at 10.

36am. It said: "A1 Southbound blocked, queueing traffic due to bridge struck by vehicle at A428 Great North Road." A National Highways spokesperson reported delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic after the bridge strike.
