The couple had been enjoying a holiday together on the stunning island, but things soon took a turn for the worse when Michael failed to return from a trek after six hours. A worried Clare contacted the authorities and an extensive four day search was carried out, before his body was tragically discovered by a local photographer on Sunday morning.
Psychologist and grief expert Dr Mark Rackley told the Mirror : "If this was to happen to somebody who wasn't in the public eye, then the family can just get on with that very privately. "But because Michael was in the public eye, the family are also having to deal with the media interest, understandably in this case. So, again, [it's] very, very challenging and very unique as well to have to go through all of that.
" Following Michael's body being found, Clare released a heartbreaking statement as she paid tribute to her beloved husband. function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.
