Footage of Underwood’s June 9 performance at the Carolina Country Music Fest shows the eight-time Grammy winner appearing to lose her balance while descending a short flight of stairs at the rear of the stage, which had been pummeled in a sudden downpour. Advertisement The tumble ― which took place moments after Underwood had finished performing her 2006 smash, “Before He Cheats” ― did not go unnoticed by audience members.

On Monday, Underwood appeared to allude to the slip while sharing photos and a short video of her rain-soaked show on social media. “Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget!” she wrote on X , formerly Twitter.
