Aldi and Lidl are rolling out a big change from this week but customers are not impressed. Aldi will be offering eight Euro-inspired products from as little as £5 starting Thursday ahead of the European Championships in Germany, which sees England kick off its campaign from Sunday against Serbia. Aldi is selling a £6 red Three Lions bucket hat to shelves while shoppers can snap up an England hoodie for £13.

There will also be an England T-shirt on sale for £5 and UEFA Euro footballs for £10 a pop. Scottish football fans will be able to grab a bucket hat for £6, hoodie for £13 and cap for £6, as well as a T-shirt for a fiver. But a Reddit user on the CasualUK subreddit hit out, saying: "Why are Lidl selling socks with the England flag and GBR on?" A second said: "Was looking for a teddy of the Euro 2024 mascot and spotted these socks.
