Nothing stops Marilu Henner. Thank goodness. Not even a pandemic that shuts down the industry, well one of the industries, in which she works.

A whirlwind of a person who is giving a whirlwind performance, one among several, in Michael Frayn’s enduring farce, “Noises Off,” at New Hope’s Bucks County Playhouse, Henner has done 16 movies, four television projects, 41 club appearances, several theater bookings in her one-woman show, and two other shows, one she premiered in Los Angeles, brought to New York, and is taking to London, and another that will bring her back to New York while many waited for the COVID cloud to pass over. She did give up her daily three-hour morning radio show, partially because she was tired of schlepping her broadcast equipment to the various cities in which she was working and partially because something now and then has to give. While keeping a breakneck schedule that belies any idea that acting careers cannot be sustained and that work is scarce, Henner easily lives up to one of the mottos with which she encourages people to stay healthy and fit: “Motion is the lotion.

” Another motto, the credence of which is evident in how easily Henner sails through the workout inherent in “Noises Off’s” fast-paced, complex staging, is “Love the food that loves you back.” Following that has kept her fit and made Henner capable of playing physically demanding roles more than 50 years after she first came to the public’s attention in the fir.
