The YouTube star behind Rate My Takeaway has been on a nationwide quest sampling a whole host of takeaway treats. Danny Malin, the man with the insatiable appetite, has clocked up a whopping 700,000 followers and 560 videos under his belt. Whiteheads in Hornsea, East Yorkshire, is a chippy that's bagged the title of the UK's best.
But the question on everyone's lips is - will it earn the coveted thumbs-up from Rate My Takeaway? Armed with an order of fish, chips, sage and onion patties, chicken and mushroom pie, plus a selection of sides, Danny set up his iconic table and chairs outside, eagerly awaiting his feast while the fish sizzles away. As he eyed the bill totalling £19.20, he shared his thoughts: "Price-wise, I don't think that's too bad to be honest with you.
I think we got a decent bit of food there, [for a] decent bit of money. Like I say, the price of fish and chips these days can push up to 15 quid." Treating the pattie and pie as appetisers before the main event of haddock and chips, Danny reintroduces the humble pattie to his legion of fans.
"It just smells like my Sunday dinner. Nice and crispy batter, oh my god, wow. That is absolutely gorgeous.
" He then takes the taste sensation up a notch with a curry sauce dip, which he declares "fabulous", reports Hull Live .
