Stop squeezing and start cleansing properly - your skin will thank you. Skincare has come a long way since the days of gritty facial scrubs and PVA glue face masks that threatened to rip off our eyebrows. Many Brits are taking a more gentle approach to our skin - focusing on moisturising and protecting our skin barrier.

While those nightly hyaluronic face masks and vitamin C serums may leave you glowing, they're not going to help get rid of your blackheads or reduce the size of your sebaceous filaments (the thin appendages that line your oil glands). However, there is one trick that just might do the job..

. Skincare guru Natalie O'Neill has amassed a whopping 492,000 followers thanks to her advice on everything from SPF to retinol. In a recent video, the content creator raved about a 'completely free' hack to reduce the amount of blackheads on your nose.

"We're all aware of the fact that we should be cleansing our faces for one minute straight because it makes a massive difference," she said. "So if you're not already doing that, this is your sign. "But that isn't the trick.

After you've done your full face, you just want to go in and massage your nose for like 20-30 seconds extra. If you do this for long enough, you can sometimes remove the blackheads in one go just by massaging it. And over time you're going to get fewer blackheads and your sebaceous filaments are going to look way smaller.
