The Gomez family, who suffer from a rare genetic condition known as congenital generalised hypertrichosis (CGH), have been targeted by online trolls. However, "Wolf Man" Victor "Larry" Gomez has previously refused to let the negativity affect him. Supporters of the world's hairiest family have rallied around them after they were subjected to cruel online abuse.

In a recent Facebook video, Guinness World Records (GWR) reintroduced the public to the Gomez clan, who hold the record for being the hairiest family in the world due to their unique health condition. Victor, Gabriel "Danny" Ramos Gomez, Luisa Lilia De Lira Aceves and Jesus Manuel Fajardo Aceves, all originally from Mexico, are part of a lineage that spans five generations. Four family members are affected by congenital generalised hypertrichosis (CGH), a genetic disorder that causes excessive hair growth.



Unfortunately, as is often the case with social media, they received some nasty comments. One viewer wrote: "Proof we are related to our supposed cousins? Is this family the bridge? " Another shockingly compared them to a hairy Star Wars character: "Relation of Chewbacca? " A third asked: "I wonder if his barber charge him extra or double for a transformation." However, their fans quickly came to their defence, stating "just because they're a little different doesn't matter".
