The 21-year-old woman killed last week in Warren County is remembered in her obituary as a loving daughter and sister with dreams of one day owning her own business. Amanda Grace Pulver was slain in what investigators labeled a shooting in Independence Township, where she lived. Authorities the day of the homicide on Thursday, June 27 confirmed quickly that a suspect had been taken into custody , and identified him the same day as 34-year-old Anthony J.

Garvin, of Netcong, New Jersey. He was arrested in Berks County, Pennsylvania , and remained in custody Wednesday, charged with first-degree murder and second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. Investigators, however, have not confirmed additional details, including whether the two knew each other.



Warren County Acting Prosecutor Anthony Picione and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Brotzman declined Wednesday to comment further on their ongoing investigation. Pulver was a 2021 graduate of Hackettstown High School and a freshman in college, with aspirations of one day owning a real estate business, her obituary states. She spent most of her free time with her puppy, Dunkin, who her family says also died in what they call “a senseless act of violence.

” Her surviving family includes her mother and father and two brothers. Pulver’s obituary describes her relationship with her mother, Colleen, as “something both unique and beautiful. They shared emot.
