A woman has been left heartbroken after her sister and eight-month-old son were killed in a horror crash on the A1(M) on Friday (May 31) morning. Eight-month-old Zackary Blades and 30-year-old Karlene Warner were travelling in a Peugeot 308 on the A1(M) between Chester-le-Street and Durham when they were struck by an Audi Q5 in the early hours of the morning. They both died at the scene.
Karlene also leaves behind a daughter, Everley. A 38-year-old man arrested at the scene is due to appear in court this morning charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and possession of a bladed article. Zackary Blades.
