On the third day of Eidul Azha’s vacations, the families along with children here Wednesday thronged to Peshawar zoo where they took keen interest in wild animals including eagles, Zarafas and African snakes. Malaika Bibi (10), a sixth grade student is overwhelmed after visiting the country’s biggest zoo at Peshawar where wild animals caged in natural environment, attracted an influx of children alongwith families on the 3rd of Eidul Azha amid great funfair and excitement. “Seeing wild animals including cobra snake, lion, falcons and zarafa with own eyes were my dream.

Big thank you to my papa for fulfilling my childhood dream today,” said Malaika, a resident of Wapda Town Peshawar. “I am very impressed to see rare wild animals were kept in natural environment besides facilities made for the visitors at Peshawar zoo,” she told APP while seeing falcons. Like Malaika, thousands of children alongwith relative visited the zoo during Eid holidays and took keen interest in zarafas, lions, cobra snakes, bears, pheasants, dears, cranes, reptiles, birds, parrots and falcons.



The species remained center of attraction of small children, youth and families arrived from different districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa and spent few hours in its relax environment amid food cusines enjoyed by them in its sprawling lawns. Children accompanied by parents arrived from Khyber, Kohat, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Mohmand, Swabi, Peshawar and others districts of KP were briefed by the wildli.
