Jerseys are a widely debated topic among sports fans. In some ways, a team’s uniform is an expression of their identity. It can display the culture of a fan base or take an off-the-wall risk as a program moves into a new era.
Luckily for fans of Bemidji’s sports teams, there are plenty of standout jerseys locally. But which team wears the best? The Pioneer polled 12 local media members — old and new — to see which team boasts the top threads. Each person gave their top five jerseys that respective Bemidji teams wear.
Their top choice was worth five points, while their second was worth four, and so on. Of the 75 examples Bemidji’s sports media chose from, six stood out above the rest. Bemidji State women’s soccer white; Bemidji High School boys soccer hooped; Bemidji State football all black.
Nothing else comes close. The cursive script is unbeatable, and the crisp white jersey pairs well with sharp green trim. Do I even have to make a case here? This jersey nails it in every possible way.
The "Beavers" in cursive script is extremely underrated. Simple and clean on the plain white jersey. Baseball jerseys peaked a long time ago at the MLB level.
This feels like a beautiful throwback to that peak. It’s somehow retro and modern at the same time. A nice set of green stirrups and white cleats makes this near unbeatable.
A wrestling flannel? I mean, come on! This is everything Lumberjacks embodied into a uniform. 10/10. Are there better-looking jerseys? Sure, but it d.
