Salon owners share that summers are when plenty of customers decide to chop off their hair – while the sun is out, the length is out, they say. Along with short hair, customers also opt for de-tan services and treatments that use ingredients with cooling properties in services like facials, manicure and pedicure.

“Cooling, soothing rituals based on chamomile, allantoin, botanical extracts for post-sun care are in demand. Revitalising treatments like Vita C are also apt for this weather,” says Hemangi, Lakme’s National Creative Director (Skin). “People like to go for facials which have a cooling effect with ingredients like aloe vera, musk melon and mint.
