SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Another week has passed since the 2024 Utah Treasure Hunt kicked off, and although many are eagerly out looking on the state’s trails, the $25,000 prize has yet to be claimed. Since 2020, organizers David Cline and John Maxim have released a riddle during the summer to guide treasure hunters to a cash reward. In addition to the riddle, Cline and Maxim release a set of hints every Friday until the treasure is found to aid adventurers in their search.

This year’s first set of clues included a boundary map, clarification on punctuation in the riddle, and said the chest is hidden 30-50 feet off the trail. A second set of clues have now been released to guide treasure hunters in their search this upcoming week. The chest is hidden east of i15.

” In this week’s set of hints is a map that narrows down the location of the treasure even more. “The poem refers to lobsters not locusts. Also, the lobster line has nothing to do with any restaurant or business.
