SOUTHLAKE, Texas — There's truly nothing more beautiful and authentic than the laughter of a child. It's good for the soul. Today's Wednesday's Child , 6-year-old Dante, will light up your home with laughter.

Dante doesn't let anything stop him from living life to the fullest. He tries his best at everything, including being verbal. "Be nice.

Be healthy. That's all," Dante said about the way he wants a family to treat him. Dante's caseworker Kerrill Mendez says she loves how positive Dante is and how he inspires other people around him to be positive as well.

"He just doesn't give up. He loves to interact with people and he's just a very strong positive type of kid," said Mendez. Dante has cerebral palsy and can't walk, but he has no problem moving around and Mendez says he's thriving after two years in foster care.

"Just seeing what he's capable of doing and showing us what he's done so far gives us all a reason to do more and we say like don't give up because if Dante can do it, so can we," said Mendez. During his play date with WFAA at Bright Side Play in Southlake - Dante laughed the entire time. He has a hearty laugh that fills everyone around him with joy.

"He's the sweetest little boy. He lights up my day. He makes me remember why I do this job," said Mendez.

Dante spends his days playing Paw Patrol, tackling his physical therapy, and inspiring everyone around him to be better. "He is very verbal, and he will tell you what he likes and doesn't like," said Mendez. Whe.
